Geordie Greep, the musician behind black midi, is bringing his debut solo album to Ventura Music Hall on October 2nd at 8pm. His record "The New Sound" is an inventive blend of alternative pop that pulls together influences ranging from jazz and funk to cabaret, featuring contributions from over thirty musicians recorded across Brazil and other locations. The album tells a series of interconnected stories through Greep's vocals and arrangements, moving between whispers and shouts with instrumental flourishes that shift from humorous to serious. General admission tickets are standing room only, with limited seating available on a first come, first served basis.
